Woah...

I just realised i've been listening to this for roughly half an hour.
The constant blowing of the wind in the background, and the short, echoing melody gives a real sense of a cold winter.
The melody starts, then fades away from time to time, making the piece dreamy and peaceful, yet desolate and broken. I can feel the fake sense of safety that the music conveys.
Its spooky how much i can feel from this when i listen.
Probably the most thought provoking piece of music I have ever heard.

Have a great new year.

Thankyou. I am astonished that you were able to feel exactly what I meant when I did the fade in and fade out. This is an arrogant circle, I can't just throw it all away, and make this into a song. It's a semi-loop due to my deep notion about running in circles. This song is practically the infinite loop of deception. That was an ocean though. XD Not the wind. :P It was supposed to bring a sense of awakening, but then they fall right back into their impending doom repeatedly.

''It's hard to escape from your darkness, if you can't recognize your own darkness''

Awesome!

Flawless. Is it just me, or would this suit a Paper Mario underground level? The song is too deep for normal platformers, but not detailed enough for a Mario Galaxy-esque game.

Keep it up! And what instruments did you use on FL? Just wondering.

Thank you so much, I think it's for a typical Mario 2D game, but I didn't think in a Paper Mario, it would be great.
I used the 3xOSC, Elec. Guitar, some hip-hop and techno beats and the Garritan Personal Orchestra for the Chorus.

You know...

When I listen to songs like this i feel sorry for people who haven't found Newgrounds Audio yet. Everyone on here who make electronic music are much better than professional musicians.

epic song... :D

aliaspharow responds:

Well i'm flattered. Truer words have never been said

Awesome

It definitely would fit in a game, most likely an RPG like Final Fantasy. I may be being picky, or stupid, but the main melody could have the tempo slowed down a bit (i think thats the technical way of saying it!) just try it, it might sound better. Either way its amazing.

Hey, I hear you bro. I will try it out and if I like it you'll be hearing it in the future when I release the remastered version of my songs. They will be more ballanced and have some stuff added on to them.

OH MY GOD

Looking at one of your responses... this is PERFECT for a flash game! I can picture it now! Or for an iPod game...? I hope a company scouts you...

acmeDyne responds:

Thank ye!

This is your first?

Really? I know it's simple, but you did a good job!

Except the loop needs to be smoother, because it kind of jumps at the very end. You do want it to loop right?

And can I ask what music creating software you use?

bcdefg123 responds:

It is not supposed to be a loop- it only plays once, and was rendered as a song (I believe), not a loop. But actually, I have no reason for that, so looping would probably be better. Hmm...

It was my first piece for the game, but it's not my first on Newgrounds.

And I use FL Studio 9 Fruity Edition.

Thanks for reviewing it!

amazing...

I completely forgot that I left it on, and i checked for it in my album list on media player! Very professional, in fact you barely have to change it that much... please make more! Great for ambient music in a game methinks...
